Some updates…
It’s been a while, so let me fill you in on a few things I’m working on as well as some things that have transpired.
- I sold the audio rights for Primordial Threat, Darwin’s Cipher, Perimeter, and The Inside Man to Tantor. This is good news.
- This means it’s one less thing for me to worry about, they handle all the tough stuff, and I get to focus more on the writing and not every…little…thing having to do with production.
- Anyone who currently has audio book copies for these books are unaffected. Those who want to get audio books, however, will have to wait a little bit. I hope to see them go back up on sale shortly, at least for the first three titles. The last title is in production, so that one may lag a bit. I’ll keep you updated.
- You may notice something titled “Secret Project 2019” on my banner.
- I can’t tell you much (because it’s a secret) but I expect that by the end of the year, you may see an entire line of new books coming out. A new thriller series, and yes, I’m fairly excited about it.
- I am actively working on the outline for the next techno thriller.
- I normally flip-flop between a science-heavy (techno)thriller and a mainstream (Levi) thriller, and having just released The Inside Man, I’m doing the predictable. I’m quite excited about how this story will be received. To give you an idea of how the story starts, here’s a snippet from my outline (almost guaranteed to change in the final product).
Hi, I’m Mike and if you’ve somehow managed to stumble into this recording of my ramblings I can tell you right now that there’s no way in hell this is my fault.
Well, I suppose lots of people say that, but this time it’s true. I really didn’t do it!
Hold on, I suppose you probably have no idea what I’m talking about.
Let me start over.
I’m Staff Sergeant Michael Kipiarski, my MOS is 15Z, which in military-speak means I’m an unmanned multi-purpose systems operator, and for normal people that means I remotely spy on stuff in the air and underwater. My MOS was 15W but then they switched things all up … oh, wait, you don’t care about the office politics.
Anyway, my friends call me Kip or Ski, but they’re all dead now, so I guess it’s best to start fresh … you can call me Mike.
About two weeks ago I was in the Pentagon’s remote retrieval dungeon when we detected a series of explosions coming from fifteen klicks off the east coast, near the bottom of the ocean.
You see, it turns out that someone topside had been tracking a Russian sub when it hit one of our anti-materiel mid-depth mines and all hell broke lose….
