For prospective authors….

Words of advice – pray for good editors. The good ones will inevitably teach you a lot (even though you’ll hate their guts when they critique your perfect manuscript.
The bad ones will lead you astray and cause you lots of undue grief.
With experience, you’ll be able to know the difference and filter editor feedback and get better with each new work you put out.
The hubris of a new author is nothing compared to watching that same author years later looking at his old work and cringing.
