For fourteen-year-old Ryan Riverton, his family’s summer vacation had a great start—until an earthquake devastated the cave system the family had been exploring, turning their world upside-down. Ryan and his brother Aaron found themselves in a new land in which they were the heirs of a prophecy which predicted their arrival and had blessed them with unusual magical powers.

The Rivertons, it seems, are the magical strangers promised by an ancient prophecy, the very people who will lead vast armies against the coming demon horde. It is up to them now to make a new life here, form alliances with dwarves, elves, and even a misfit ogre named Ohaobbok, and rid the land of Azazel, the evil wizard who rules brutally over all of Trimoria.
